(2) consolidated quarterly performance updates with easy to read goals-based reports,
(3) periodic meetings, and
(4) year end reports.
A Fair And Reasonable Fee Structure
Green Pastures is a fee-only investment advisory firm, which means we do not work on commission.
All too often we see investors pay unreasonably high investment advisor fees without getting the service and value added they are supposedly paying for.
Our advisor fee is a reasonable 0.50% based on a percentage of your investment assets under management. *
Our incentive is aligned with your best interest in mind. If your investment portfolio rises, our income rises - if your investment portfolio falls, our income falls.
*In some instances, certain types of annuities may be recommended as part of a retirement income and/or overall asset allocation solution which may include a commission. In such instances, commissions are paid by the insurance company and Green Pastures does not charge the client an advisor fee on such assets.
Our Team
Leeland F. Gray, Jr. founded Green Pastures in 2003. With over 30 years of investment management experience, he previously worked with A.G. Edwards and Sons in Fairfield, Connecticut. Leeland attended the University Of Texas at Austin.
He and his family also owned and operated a horse farm in Easton, Connecticut, from 2004 - 2021.
Leeland likes spending time with his three adult "kids", Jannike, Jarrett and Jettke and his grandson Oakley. Outside of investment and retirement income planning business activities, he gives back to the local communities by coaching and also enjoys boating and fishing (not very good at it... but a heckuva lot of fun!), hiking and playing pickle ball.
As Varsity Head Coach of the St Joseph High School (Trumbull, CT) Girls Lacrosse program since 2016, Leeland has led led the program to three State Semifinals and two State Championship appearances. He was named US Girls Lacrosse Coach Of The Year for Connecticut high schools in 2019 and Connecticut Class M Girls Lacrosse Coach Of The Year in 2022. Leeland also coached CT National Under Armour teams in 2021 and 2022 and he currently coaches at Gold Coast Lacrosse in New Canaan during the off season.
Prior to girls lacrosse, Leeland coached youth football from 2005-2010 for the American Youth Football ("AYF") Aspetuck Wildcats (Easton-Redding-Weston, CT). He was the Offense coach for the 7th Grade Aspetuck Wildcats Football Team that won the 2008 AYF National Championship in Florida.
